CD Projekt Red's New Announcements

Let's talk about the elephants in the room  CD Projekt Red's newly announced projects Project Polaris : CD PR wants to deliver the game six years after Project Polaris is released–so presumably, this game will be the first installment in a Witcher trilogy. However, CDPR has not revealed much about Project Polaris, other than to say that it will be based on the “legacy of Wild Hunt.” Given that the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in May of 2016, it would suggest that Project Polaris would come out in late 2022 or early 2023. Assuming that CDPR sticks to its normal release schedule, that means that we wouldn’t see Project Polaris until sometime in 2025. Given that CDPR is already working on a follow-up game for the Witcher 3, it seems likely that Project Polaris will be an expansion or even a new game altogether, rather than a direct sequel to The Witcher 3.
